Imaginary artists 4 - YKZN

YKNZ, born in 1989, believes that every mechanism,

even the most unrestrainable, has its fatal grain of sand,

it's all a matter of finding which one.

His research, based on this assumption, it's

materialised into small street art interventions with the

pourpose to maintain alive the attention of

the people during the mutant human activity of trade.

You can find his provocative works in shopping

malls, fast foods and automatic vendors

around Europe.

YKNZ, classe 1989, è convinto che ogni meccanismo,

anche il più inarrestabile, ha il suo corrispondente

granello di sabbia potenzialmente fatale,

tutto sta nel trovarlo.

La sua ricerca parte da questo presupposto

e si materializza in piccoli interventi

di street art volti a tenere viva l'attenzione

delle persone nei momenti e nei luoghi in

cui si pratica la mutante attività umana del commercio.

E' possibile trovare le sue provocatorie creazioni

in centri e strade commerciali, catene di fast food

e distributori automatici di mezza Europa.

Imaginary artists 3 - LUTHER

Luther, born in Sheffield in 1978, has been for

years an observer of the deviances of contemporary

society, which he represent in minimal and rigorous

works. In his paintings suggestions and meanings are

above all hidden into the relationships of shapes.

His last series called "Flags", exhibited at the

TATE modern gallery of London, consists in numerous

mutations of the British flag, and every painting alludes

to a specific state of collective uneasiness.

Luther, nato a Sheffield nel 1978, è da anni un

attento osservatore delle devianze della società

contemporanea, che rappresenta in opere minimali e

rigorose. Nei suoi lavori sono soprattutto i

rapporti tra le forme che celano suggestioni e significati.

La sua recente serie "Flags", in cui ha dipinto numerose

mutazioni della bandiera britannica, ognuna allusiva

a specifici stati di disagio collettivo, è stata esposta

alla Tate Modern gallery di Londra.

Imaginary artists 2 - BEATRISA

Beatrisa is fascinated by global movements and wide

visions. The entire humanity is her interest field, she is

so attracted by its surviving althought the low maturity it has

reached since millenia. In her last works she focuses on

green energy, associating this theme to symbols of sexual

reproduction, an attempt to spread and promote ideas

throught strong images but also a deep conceptual

connection: safeguarding and preservation of the species

Emblematic is the installation, placed in plaza Letamendi in

Barcelona, of an eolic windmill 15 meters high, built entirely

with underwear.

Beatrisa è affascinata dai moti globali e dalle

visioni di ampio respiro. L'umanità intera è il suo campo

di interesse, affascinata com'è dalla sua sopravvivenza

nonostante la scarsa maturità raggiunta nei millenni.

Nel suo ultimo ciclo di opere affronta il tema delle

energie rinnovabili associandole a simboli che

alludono alla riproduzione sessuale, in un'intento sia

di promozione che di più profonda simbiosi concettuale,

finalizzata al mantenimento di salvaguardia

della specie. Emblematica in tal senso la scultura,

posta in piazza Letamendi a Barcellona, di una pala

eolica alta 15 metri, realizzata

interamente con biancheria intima.

Imaginary artists 1 - TETSUO

Tetsuo is an action-pop painter from Japan.

In his performances, placed beetwen collective

exorcism and intimate confession, he is always

surrounded by an even number of people

who scream names of famous stars and

mass products rhythmically. Surrounded by

this ritualic noise he starts to paint the evoked

images leaking them with his personal view,

deforming the consolidated visions into peripheral

glares of his eyeball.

Tetsuo è un action-pop painter di origine giapponese.

Nelle sue performances, a metà strada tra esorcismo

collettivo e intima confessione, è circondato sempre da un

numero pari di spettatori che urlano ritmicamente

nomi di personaggi famosi o di prodotti di massa.

Nel marasma rituale di voci l’artista comincia a dipingere

le immagini evocate, lasciando tuttavia spazio alla sua

particolare interpretazione, deformando e plasmando

le consolidate visioni collettive in

periferici riflessi del suo bulbo oculare.
